Eid Mubarak

Thursday, October 19th, 2006

Sometimes, I did not mean to make you upset. Isn’t it the norm; that you always hurt the person you’re most close to?

Sometimes, I did want to upset you. To compensate for whatever irritation and annoyance that you caused me to feel.

It doesn’t mean I did not regret what I did. Intentionally or otherwise. It only means that I’m human, and to err is human. I still love you, I care for you more than I did yesterday, I want to play a bigger role in your life, and I want to be the most important friend that you have.

When I’m angry I don’t hate you. In fact, I love you more, as I trust you to care anough to cater to my needs. As selfish as it may sounds, these are privileges that only some are bestowed upon. Not everyone deserve it.

With all that has been said, I would like to seek your forgiveness and blessing. I wish you Eid Mubarak, and may we be a better person, and may we be stronger to face to uncertain days of tomorrow.

I love you and I care for you.

p/s: although I didn’t name any names, I hope this message reach out to those of you who knows that they’re the important persons in my life, my backbones. I wouldn’t be who I am today if you weren’t there for me when I was lost. Thanks to you, I finally found my way.

The price of Sahur

Thursday, October 12th, 2006

Why is it when ALLAH made us do one easy thing, it always become hard? It doesn’t matter what the hukum is; wajib, sunat, harus – it’ll be hard. Maybe it’s just me. I suppose it’s a sign that I should work more on my Iman; it’s still not solid.

I haven’t been waking up for Sahur for about 3 days. As a result, I got hungry (just a bit, but still…) around mid-day. So last night I decided maybe I should wake up, so this morning I did.

The price of sahur: helter-skelter getting ready to the office, 5minutes late, red on the punch card. Still not hungry yet tho, so a plus there.

My consolation is that insya ALLAH my pahala is worth being late.

On the other hand, if I don’t wake up for sahur (no extra mark there) I can get up on time and be at the office in time. No one giving me looks that says “ Ceh…duduk dekat pun lambat, naik moto pulak tu”.

What a dilemma!

Should I wake up and get the pahala? Should I not wake up and be on time?

Aww…

After some deep pondering, I decided to employ this brilliant method; get a HUMAN alarm clock. After all, what are Knights for? Hehehe… ^_^ You’re a life saver! 3204227
